It’s gutsy. After the near total destruction of Vallaki by evil forces, after so many people were left stunned by the events, he’s still fighting, and it’s not something I would have expected from the wizard boy who’d locked himself in his attic for years. He’s stepped up, took control of the situation, and led his people into the next chapter of their lives. Perhaps… Victor’s had that in him all along. I don’t know why I’m so surprised, maybe it’s that every Victor I had ever met swore off his family legacy, abandoned it without looking back. Yet he’s the most competent, wise leader of the bunch…
He’s hosting a festival – ironic, I know – but the joy and relief on the faces of the Barovian people is… it’s breathtaking.
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of prepared fettuccine
- Water, preferably reserved pasta water
- ¾ cup of butter
- 4 minced garlic cloves
- 2 cups of pumpkin, mashed (pureed) down
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp parsley
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
Put a pan over a medium heat, and melt down the butter. Add the garlic, mixing well, then carefully cook while preventing burning. Add the heavy cream, followed by cheese, spices, and pumpkin – cook until cheese melts.
Add the water, ½ cup at first, with ¼ cup following, until sauce is the preferred thickness. Toss in the pasta. Garnish with more parsley and cheese.
