The Bardic Chef: Recipe – Displacer Beast Stuffed Bananas

Displacer beast, being a large cat, would have a meat texture between a vension and a gator – gamey, with an edge of sweetness. The banana will be able to pull that sweetness out further, and what better way to do that than a traditional island appetizer.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Ripe bananas
  • ½ lb Displacer Beast meat, ground
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Peppercorns
  • ½ cup Oil
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Garlic
  • 2 tbsp chopped Onion
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Directions:

Peel the onions and garlic and chop super finely. Heat oil and saute the garlic and onions until browned. Add the meat and cook. Add salt, pepper, vinegar, lemon juice, and peppercorns, combining well as the mixture cooks for a few moments more. Set aside until cool enough to handle with hands.

Peel the bananas and slice lengthwise without piercing through to the other side, leaving half an inch of space at either end. In a bowl, mix water and flour until a smooth consistency is formed. Stuff the bananas with the meat filling, seal with flour paste, set aside.

Heat oil in pan, and fry bananas until golden brown. Slice down the middle again if desired, for visuals. Serve.
